For over 30 years, Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy has helped individuals with special needs through comprehensive music, dance and art therapy.

Kardon Chorale Wins Brighter Futures Award

Our very own Kardon Chorale, along with its director Christine Wineberg, is being presented with a “Brighter Futures” award by the Philadelphia Office of Intellectual DisAbility Services on March 15, 2011. The 19^th Annual Brighter Future Awards takes place at the Liacouras Center on Temple University’s campus, on North Broad Street, and includes a morning resource fair and luncheon. Under Christine’s direction, the Kardon Chorale will perform during the luncheon.

To show our support and enthusiasm for Christine and the Chorale a group of Kardon staff are attending the event to cheer them on. Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy will also have a resource table set at the Liacouras Center, so please stop by and say, “hello” if you attend the event!

The resource fair (9am -2pm) is free, and tickets to the awards luncheon (12:15) are $25 (see below for registration details). We think it will be a great event to find out more about the support for people with intellectual disabilities in Philadelphia, as well as a great networking opportunity for families and professionals.
