For more than 35 years, Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy has provided the highest quality music therapy, dance/movement therapy and art therapy programs for individuals with a variety of special needs throughout the Greater Philadelphia area.
After months of careful consideration, the Board of Trustees of Kardon Institute has reluctantly concluded that we cannot continue to provide services, and must take the necessary steps to cease operations on June 30, 2014.
We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. To that end, we are pleased to announce that Settlement Music School will be providing creative arts therapy programs in the community and at each of their six branch locations, including Settlement’s Kardon-Northeast Branch located just next door to Kardon Institute.
The important work that has been accomplished through Kardon Institute is not diminished by this change. Thanks to the generous support of our clients, their families, and our community, we have been able to bring the healing power of the arts to thousands of individuals. Our legacy will live on in those whose lives have been enriched by our programs.
