The Executive Director since 2002, Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio-Television-Film from Temple University, a Master of Arts in Communications from Ohio University and a Post-Masters Certificate in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s University. He has held management positions at MossRehab, Kingsbrook Jewish and Elkins Park Rehab and comes to Kardon with over 30 years of experience in healthcare management.

The Assistant Director, Mark holds a BA degree in Psychology and Dance from Allentown College of St. Francis De Sales and a Master of Creative Arts in Therapy from Hahnemann University, specializing in Dance/Movement Therapy. He has served as a Dance Therapist for Kardon Institute, Delaware Valley Medical Center and Center for Autistic Children. Mark has been with Kardon Institute for over 20 years. He oversees Institute operations and the In-house program.

Diane serves as Finance Director and oversees all fiscal activities of the
organization. She is also responsible for the Human Resources Department and administers the employee benefits program. Diane has many years of varied experience in accounting and benefits administration in both for-profit and not-for-profit business.

Katrina G. Cox

Katrina coordinates all fundraising and marketing activities for Kardon Institute. She also maintains the website and social media accounts, serves as a liason to the board of trustees, and assists the Executive Director. Katrina  holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Arts Administration at Drexel University.

Dena Condron is the Coordinator of Individualized Programming at Kardon Institute for Arts Therapy, responsible for assessment of incoming clients for the in-house program and supervision of the Behavioral Health Program; as well as maintaining a caseload of clients with various disabilities. She received a Bachelor of Music Education from SUNY Potsdam and the Master of Music Therapy from Temple University. She is a licensed professional counselor under the PA state board of Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors. She has published a book detailing the history of the American Association for Music Therapy and co-authored an article appearing in a monograph series on qualitative music therapy. She has presented at conferences on topics such as music therapy with the elderly and people with developmental disabilities, vocal applications of music therapy and music therapy history. In addition, she has served as an adjunct faculty member in the music therapy department at Temple University, teaching a course in functional voice.

Caryn Widrick, MM, MA, MT-BC

Caryn is a full time clinician providing music therapy for various Kardon programs. She currently treats clients with developmental disabilities, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, Alzheimer’s, dementia and mental illnesses. In addition she supervises interns in Kardon’s clinical training program and for the Hahnemann Creative Arts in Therapy Program at Drexel University. Her education includes a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from James Madison University, a Master of Music in Music Performance from Florida State University, a Master of Arts from the Hahnemann Creative Arts in Therapy Program at Drexel University and certification in Neurologic Music Therapy. Caryn continues to remain active as a hornist performing in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Scott Horowitz, MA, MT-BC

Scott is a full time music therapist for Kardon Institute who received his
Bachelor of Arts in Music and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. Utilizing his background in music, psychology and special education, he went on to receive a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Drexel University. Scott currently works in a variety of programs for Kardon including individual sessions, outreach group sites, and home based geriatric. Scott has experience working with a variety of ages and populations including autism, mental health, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, Alzheimer’s, physical disabilities and other developmental disabilities. He also works on a team of Creative Arts Therapists in Philadelphia’s Family Court system.

Nathalie Hall, MA DTR

Nathalie Hall is a full time dance/movement therapist providing contract
services to outreach group sites and individual sessions at Kardon’s main headquarters. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Dance from Eastern University. She then went on to receive her Master of Arts in dance/movement therapy from Drexel University. Nathalie has clinical experience with a variety of ages and populations including adults, adolescents, and children with mental and physical disabilities, psychiatric illnesses, and emotional and behavioral issues. She currently works with adults having physical and developmental disabilities. Nathalie is also part of a collaboration that brings dance and performance opportunities to children with cerebral palsy.

Tracy is a full time music therapist working in the Home Based and Outreach music therapy programs at Kardon. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and her Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Immaculata College. Tracy is also one of the clinical training supervisors for Kardon Institute’s music therapy internship program.

Marissa is a full-time Art Therapist providing services at Kardon’s Knights Road location and at various outreach sites in the Philadelphia community. She received her Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology/Fine Arts from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She then went on to receive her Master of the Arts in Counseling Psychology with an Art Therapy Specialization at Caldwell College in northern New Jersey. Marissa has had clinical experience in working with children, adolescents and adults in various settings including schools, mental health clinics and hospitals.

Deanna received a Bachelors in Music therapy from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. Shortly after her music therapy internship, Deanna returned to Radford University to receive a Masters of Science with a concentration in music therapy. Deanna’s professional experience includes working in various mental health populations, including psychiatric inpatient, residential, and partial hospitilzation for children and adolescents. Most recently Deanna served as therapist to a mental health and recovery outpatient facility for all ages, including children, adults and older adults, where she provided individual and family therapy sessions.
 
Juan Garcia-Bossio, MA, MT-BC

 Juan received his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Eastern University and his Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Drexel University. A full-time music therapist who is bilingual in English and Spanish, Juan has experience working with a variety of ages and populations including inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, NICU, learning disabilities, at-risk teenagers, developmental disabilities, and victims of trauma. Juan is also a professional bass player, performing and recording with several artists in the Philadelphia area.
